Armagh Event 29 November to 1 December 2024

On Friday evening we arrived at City of Armagh Rugby Club and were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Jack, Florence and Joe. Florence booked us all in and Jack and Joe parked us up. There was a very good turnout of motorhomes.

We gathered in the bar on Friday night where the buzz of conversation and laughter was mighty. This was the time for meet and greet and to catch up with friends and acquaintances over a pint or two.

On Saturday the weather was good giving members the opportunity to head into the town for the Georgian Day activities. Thousands gathered for Armagh’s annual Georgian Festival as it celebrated its milestone 20th year. The festival embraced the city’s rich history and Georgian heritage with a variety of events, performances and activities, drawing an impressive turnout. There were more than 130 stalls selling high-quality crafts, gifts, food and seasonal products. The bustling marketplace, filled with traditional crafts, offerings from Armagh’s independent retailers and food stalls, was a hit, with live music and performances adding to the lively atmosphere.

Saturday night we were back in the bar where we had had more chat and a great selection of music from Gary. A very enjoyable night was had by all.

There was no coffee morning on Sunday, so there was lots of chat in the car park as we said our goodbyes before we all eventually made our way home.

Our next event is our Christmas Dinner at the Shepherd’s Rest starting on 6 December. Hopefully see you all there.
