We arrived at Foyle College to a very warm welcome from our hosts Martin & Winnie ably aided by Norman and Cynthia. Our 3 night event started with a fantastic view of the Fireworks display from the boardroom of the College, which didn’t disappoint. It was amazing. We made our way down to the Hall where we had a hot Toddy which was greatly appreciated. This was followed by a quiz and some light music.
On Friday everyone headed to the City for a bit of retail therapy or liquid lunches. Friday night started off with table top Bingo and then some Music.
On Saturday a few headed off for the day. We had a Line Dancing session in the afternoon which is becoming very popular. The rest of the evening was dressing the tables which looked Fab. What a variety of costumes appeared through the door that night. A lot of effort was put into the spirit of Halloween. We had a fantastic night dancing to DJ Ali, he was brilliant. Dance floor was packed all night.
We had our usual coffee morning on Sunday plus a few sore heads. Our Chairman David thanked our hosts for all their hard work over the weekend. He thanked the members for their attendance. An event is what the members make it. He finished by wishing us a safe journey home. He looks forward to seeing everyone in Cookstown. Norman then thanked everyone for attending the event.
